WILLARD, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- Police in Willard are investigating after the body of a man was found in a garage.

Chief Deputy Dale Ward with Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office said officers received the call around 9 a.m.

When deputies arrived to the area of 400 South Main, right off of Highway 89,  they found a man who had died with injuries related to blunt force trauma. They are investigating the case as a homicide.

Wednesday afternoon police identified the victim as 27-year-old Cody D. Henderson. They say he is from Ohio and had become acquainted with people while in Utah for work and had returned for personal business. Investigators are not sure if that was hunting or for some other reason.

Chief Ward says a suspect is in custody in Idaho. He has been identified as Chay L. Blair, 25, from Willard. He is facing charges of murder and desecration of a human body. Blair is scheduled to appear in court November 28th.

“It is a very quiet community. We are very proud of our community here. It is quiet. We don’t have this type of thing all the time. But it happens,” Ward said.

The Utah Department of Public Safety is sending agents to the scene. They will assist in the investigation using their FARO scanner.
