RICH COUNTY, Utah (News4Utah) – A 23-year-old Evanston man is dead after an early morning crash near the Utah/Wyoming state line.

Wyoming law enforcement and Utah’s Rich County Sheriff’s deputies responded to crash just before 2 a.m. Friday. They determined the crash happened in Utah and notified highway patrol.

Utah Highway Patrol says a 2005 four-door GMC pickup was coming off a dirt road onto State Route 16. The driver attempted to enter too quickly, blew through a stop sign and rolled the truck.

One man was pinned under the truck and killed. Other occupants were taken to hospitals in Utah and Wyoming.

The man killed in the crash was identified as Richard L. Buderus, 23.

UHP says the driver is being investigated for DUI and other charges.
