Man killed in Clearfield industrial accident identified

CLEARFIELD (News4Utah) – Police have released the name of the man killed in an industrial accident in Clearfield Saturday. 

38-year-old Jeffrey Pead of Layton was working at PolyExcel in the Clearfield Freeport Center just after 12 p.m. when he got caught in the machinery. 

When medical crews arrived, they were able to extricate the man but he died at the scene. 

An investigation is ongoing but initial reports suggest that this was an accident.
