Man killed in Clearfield crash identified

CLEARFIELD, Utah (News4Utah) – A Clearfield man is dead after a crash at State Route 193 and H Street Monday morning. 

The crash involved a 2010 white Chrysler 300 and a 1970 military-style truck.

Clearfield police said the truck was traveling east through the intersection when the Chrysler was “T-boned” on the driver’s side.
 

Witnesses on the scene told police the driver of Chrysler failed to stop at the red light for north and southbound traffic. 

When officers arrived the driver of the Chrysler was unconscious, and he died before he could be taken to the hospital.

The driver of the truck was found outside his vehicle and police believe he was ejected from the vehicle. The driver of the truck was initially unconscious, however, regained consciousness before being taken to the hospital. Police report he is in “stable” condition.

The driver of the Chrysler was identified as Chad Fisher, 32, of Clearfield

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

SR-193 was closed for about four hours while the Clearfield police investigated the crash and conducted a reconstruction of the crash scene.
