Man in hospital after stabbing in Sugar House

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah) – A man is in the hospital after a stabbing in the Sugar House area early Saturday afternoon.

According to Lt. Victor Siebeneck of the Salt Lake City Police Department, the stabbing occurred just after 4 p.m. at 2201 South and 700 East. The victim was found by a passer-by near the UTA S-Line tracks.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to serious condition.

Service on the S-Line was delayed for 90 minutes while police searched for the suspect.
