SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Salt Lake City Police Department released the identity of a man found shot to death Monday morning.
The victim was identified as 41-year-old Gerad Ohlwiler.
Salt Lake City police were called to investigate after reports of shots fired at 4:35 a.m. at 1053 West Wenco Drive.
When officers arrived, they found Ohwiler dead in the road. Detectives now hope any potential witnesses in the neighborhood can help with the case.
“Anyone in this community or on this block, if you heard anything, seen anything please give us a call,” said Detective Jose Perea.
Homocide detectives are working alongside the Gang Unit to solve the case.
