Man arrested during inland port protest

Local News

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News) – There was pandemonium at the Utah State Capitol Wednesday evening.

Utah Highway Patrol confronted and forcefully removed environmentalists protesting the proposed inland port.

Troopers issued several citations, and one person was arrested—activist Ethan Petersen.

Petersen was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for resisting arrest and interfering with an arresting officer. Activists say the proposed port will negatively impact our air quality and the delicate eco-system in the area.
