Man arrested after making online threat against Salina area schools

SALINA, Utah (News4Utah) – A 20-year-old man was arrested and booked into jail for making an online threat to Salina schools on Sunday. 

Authorities received a complaint of a post around 8 p.m. of an individual whose Snapchat story consisted of a picture of a very large military type bullet along with the caption, “don’t go to school tomorrow”.

Officers from the Salina City Police Department were able to locate the suspect and later determine the Snap was intended as a hoax.

No specific schools were targeted or mentioned in the post. The suspect, identified as Parker Martin, was arrested and booked into the Sevier County Jail on a 3rd degree felony charge of a terroristic threat.

Salina City Police wish to express their appreciation to those individuals who brought this to their attention.
