LINDON- (News4Utah)- A 28-year-old man is behind bars after police linked marijuana found with an 8-year-old boy at school to him.
Police were called to Aspen Elementary in Orem Friday, Dec. 15th after school officials say marijuana was found in the backpack of an 8-year-old student.
Officers went to the boy’s home where his mother told them it came from her roommate, Jose Eduardo Vargas. Investigators say they found 75 grams of marijuana and a fake social security card in his bedroom.
Vargas was booked into Utah County jail on charges including possession of a controlled substance, endangerment of a child, and possession of a forgery.
He is currently on hold with ICE.
