‘LOVELOUD’ festival returns to support Utah’s LGBTQ+ youth

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)-  The music festival designed to support the LGBTQ+ youth in our community is returning.

Last summer, LOVELOUD was held in Orem, but this year its relocating to Salt Lake City.

The festival is Saturday, July 28 at the Rice Eccles Stadium.

Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds is hosting again. He says he’s looking forward to celebrating diversity while listening to great music and inspiring speakers.

“We at LOVELOUD are determined to help create a more loving and accepting environment for them, while also hoping to raise more than $1 million dollars for local and national LGBTQ+ charities,” Reynolds said. 

This year Zedd, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda, Neon Trees’ Tyler Glenn, A.W., and America’s Got Talent winner Grace VanderWaal will join Imagine Dragons.

Stand-up comedian, actor and writer Cameron Esposito will also perform and emcee the day’s festivities.

LOVELOUD tickets will go on sale Friday, April 6 at 10 a.m. Click here to purchase.

Doors open for the LOVELOUD Festival at 2pm and the music begins at 3:30 p.m.

Future performers will be announced in coming weeks. In addition to music there will be food, drinks and other activities. 

 The LOVELOUD Foundation will donate proceeds from this year’s event to benefit LGBTQ+ organizations including Encircle, the Tegan and Sara Foundation and the Trevor Project.
