Loveland Living Planet Aquarium breaks ground on expansion

Local News

DRAPER, Utah (News4Utah)- The Loveland Living Planet Aquarium began changing the landscape of Draper Wednesday.

It officially broke ground on its latest expansion project, the Science Learning Campus.

The campus will have two primary structures including U2’s former stage known as “The Claw” and an 80,000-square foot science learning center.

The Claw is a 165-foot tall feat of structural engineering. The recycled steel that makes it up is as heavy as six humpback whales!

The eventual landmark is expected to draw visitors from around the world.
