LOGAN, Utah (ABC4 News) – A Logan teen received recognition Saturday for his heroic efforts after he saved one of his teammates from drowning in 2017.
Ethan Edwards was awarded The Heroism Award, one of the Boy Scouts of America’s highest honors. Ethan had been selected based on his actions at a swim practice that saved the life of one of his friends on the team.
Ethan’s father, Todd Edwards said the family is really proud of his son.
“He’s a fine young man, he’s learned so much from scouting and then that morning when there was a need he was ready to act,” said Todd Edwards.
The Boy Scouts only give out a few of these very special heroism awards each year. It is a great honor. Congratulations to Ethan.
