Lightning sparks fire near Dugway

DUGWAY PROVING GROUND, Utah  (ABC4 Utah) – Firefighters are working to completely contain a wildfire near Dugway Proving Ground. The 450-acre fire is about five miles from the main entry gate. 
 
Officials say the fire was sparked by dry lightning early the morning of Aug. 29. Firefighters have been at the scene since the fire started. 
 
No injuries have been reported and there is no danger to any facilities at this time. 
 
As of 8:15 p.m., Aug. 30, Dugway Proving Ground Emergency Operations Center does not project that the fire will impact operations at DPG on Aug. 31.
