SPRINGVILLE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Many residents are being allowed back into their homes Wednesday night after a fire sparked in Springville.
Police say there was a lightning strike around 6:45 p.m. that ignited the fire near 1400 North 400 East. Wind caused the fire to sweep through the area along the foothills.
The fire burned about 20 acres and forced police to evacuate several dozen homes. Police say the fire came within just feet of several homes.

Crews quickly contained the fire and fortunately there was no damage reported to any structures.
