LOGAN, Utah (News4Utah) – The Logan City Fire Department was awarded more than $22,000 worth of lifesaving equipment.
The equipment comes courtesy of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
The new tools will improve the department’s rescue response, especially for victims of car crashes who have to be “cut out” of the wreckage.
“Anymore the big fire engines you see rolling down the road anymore are just big ole’ tool boxes, they really are, and so it does bring a lot of peace of mind for the guys operating those rigs to know that they’ve got what the need regardless of the emergency that’s coming,” said Captain Nate Thompson with Logan Fire Department.
Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has granted more than $37 million to hometown heroes in 47 states including more than $623,000 dollars here in Utah.
