Many have heard the great news that the United Nations Global Communication Conference will be hosted in Salt Lake City next August.
As a lead up to that event, Utah Valley University is hosting an NGO Conference at the end of the month.
Ben Kolendar with Salt Lake City’s Dept. of Economic Development and Dr. Baldomero Lago with Utah Valley University joined us in studio to talk about what to expect during the conference.
“This is historic for Salt Lake City because it’s the first time that United Nations has ever left the UN headquarters to do an event on U.S. soil,” Kolendar explained.
The UVU conference called “Working Together Making a Difference” will provide an opportunity to understand the functionality, connectivity, and ways to partner between civil society organizations and the United Nations and will address questions about the upcoming conference.
The conference will be held October 27th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Science Building, room SB 134 on the Utah Valley University campus.
If you’d like to attend pre-registration is required. Adults are $10, students are $5. Click here to register.
