WEST AFRICA (ABC4 News) – Leaders from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints met up with West African government officials and Latter-day Saint missionaries and members during an 11-day trip to the region.

Church officials said Sister Jean B. Bingham and Sister Bonnie H. Cordon are currently visiting the Ivory Coast along with Ghana and Nigeria as part of an outreach effort.

According to church officials, there are more than 600,000 members in Africa. On Saturday, March 2, those leaders will partake in a devotional for those serving in the Ghana Accra West Mission.
