LDS Church announces dedication dates for new temples in South America

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released dedication dates for two new temples in South America.

The LDS Church is set to open Concepción Chile and Barranquilla Colombia Temples later this year.

The Concepción Chile Temple will be dedicated on Sunday, October 28. This will be the second temple in Chile. The Santiago Chile Temple was dedicated in 1983 and rededicated March 12, 2006.

The Barranquilla Colombia Temple will be dedicated on on Sunday, December 9. This will also be Colombia’s second temple. The Bogotá Colombia Temple was dedicated April 24, 1999.
