DEWEYVILLE, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- A woman is dead and a man is in critical condition after the motorcycle they were on crashed into a car Saturday night.

It happened around 6:15 at the intersection of SR-38 and SR-102. Troopers say a 49-year-old man was driving the motorcycle with 47-year-old Heidi Thomas on the back when a Ford Taurus made a left hand turn in front of them.

The motorcycle slammed into the Taurus and ejected both the driver and Thomas.

She died at the scene. The driver is in critical condition at McKay Dee hospital.

A 50-year-old man and his 13-year-old son were in the Taurus. They were treated and released at the scene.

Troopers say both of the passengers on the motorcycle were wearing helmets “but they were not full head helmets”.

The crash is still under investigation.
