Layton police and SWAT arrested suspect in armed robbery of convenience store

UPDATE: Layton investigators and SWAT arrested an 18-year-old man, Brandon Parcell for the armed  robbery at the Chevron gas station on November 27, 2018. 

He was arrested early Friday morning at his apartment in Layton. He has been booked in jail for aggravated robbery and theft. 


LAYTON, Utah (ABC4 News) – Police in Layton are hoping to identify a suspect from an armed robbery at a local gas station early Tuesday morning. 

Lt. Travis Lyman, Layton City Police, said the robbery occurred at 6:50 a.m. at the Chevron station at 1508 N. Highway 89 when a man entered the store, pointed a gun at the one clerk, and demanded money from the register. 

The suspect is described as a white male, 20-25 years old, 6 foot tall, with average weight. He was wearing a light colored hoodie and a black and orange face mask. 

The gun was described as a black and silver semi-auto style pistol.

It is possible the suspect fled in a white SUV.
