WEST AFRICA (ABC4 News)- A missionary with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints died after just one month on mission.
Church officials say Elder Spencer Owusu was serving in the Cote d’Ivoire Abidjan West Mission.
His cause of death is unknown at this time. Owusu reported he was not feeling well and was taken to an emergency room on Thursday evening. He later died, church officials said.
“We sincerely pray for his parents and loved ones as they mourn his passing and remember his life and service,” a statement from Church spokesman Daniel Woodruff said.
Owusu was from Ghana and began his mission in September.
