WEST VALLEY CITY (News4Utah)- The latest Cirque Du Soleil production is making a stop in West Valley City this fall.
Corteo, which means cortege in Italian, will visit the Maverik Center from September 27 to 30, 2018 for six performances. There will be a performance Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 7:30 p.m. as well as three earlier shows: Saturday at 3:30 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The concept behind the show is a clown imagining his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere.
“Juxtaposing the large with the small, the ridiculous with the tragic and the magic of perfection with the charm of imperfection, the show highlights the strength and fragility of the clown, as well as his wisdom and kindness, to illustrate the portion of humanity that is within each of us. The music turns lyrical and playful carrying Corteo through a timeless celebration in which illusion teases reality,” the show’s description states.
General tickets go on sale May 4th at 10 a.m. here.
