Journalist, activist and former vice-presidential nominee coming to Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – This February, in honor of Black History Month, journalist, activist and former vice-presidential nominee, Eugene Puryear, will speak at two Salt Lake-area forums.

The free lectures are meant to offer historical context to the civil rights and Black Power movements, as well as add personal context to the modern movement of Black liberation.

Puryear will speak at the University of Utah in the Union Building on Friday, February 8 at 5 p.m. and the Hunter Library in West Valley City on Saturday, February 9 at 3:30 p.m.
