SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News)- Students at a Salt Lake City elementary school had a special visitor Thursday.

Action star Jackie Chan spoke to the students at Mountain View Elementary about becoming everyday “green heroes” by simply looking around and taking some time to pick up trash or doing something else to protect the environment.

The school was specifically selected for the visit because of their recycling efforts.

According to the Salt Lake City School District, students at the school have recycled 35,200 pounds of paper and cardboard, more than any other school in the district.

Chan’s exhibit “Green Hero” opens to the public on Saturday, January 26th at The Leonardo.

The exhibit enters around one of Chan’s lifelong passions to help clean up the environment.
