Is it safe to travel to Hawaii?

Local News

Do you wanna go straight to Hawaii but you’re worried your trip will come to an explosive end?

Never fear–the staff at Morris Murdock, a local traveling company, says you shouldn’t let concerns of recent volcanic activity on the Big Island ruin your summer vacation.

Kathy Hirst of Morris Murdock Travel says there are over 4,000 square miles on the Big Island, and only 20 of those are actually affected. Not to mention the fact that there are no other warnings on any other islands.

“The Governor of Hawaii has been quoted that the air quality for the vast majority of the Hawaiian Islands is clean and healthy,” Hirst said.

Hirst says they have seen some lower prices on air and hotels due to the slight decrease on travel to the islands.
