Investigators seek tips about SLC bank robbery suspect

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah) – The FBI and Salt Lake City Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect from a bank robbery that occurred on Saturday, August 11.

Police say a man walked into the Wells Fargo bank at 570 South 700 East Saturday morning and passed a note to the teller demanding cash.

The suspect left with cash and headed southwest from the Wells Fargo. The suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, wearing a fishing style hat, dirty green shirt and khaki pants.

The Salt Lake City Police Department asks anyone who may know the identity or whereabouts of the subject to call (801) 799-3000. Anonymous tips may be sent by text to 274637. Please start your text with TIPSLCPD, which routes it to the police department. Then include any relevant information. Reference: case #18-145661.
