Investigation in viral video of incident at Cache County campground ongoing

CACHE COUNTY, Utah (News4Utah) – The Cache County Sheriff’s Office says it is continuing to investigate an incident in Blacksmith Fork Canyon that has garnered widespread attention.

In a now viral video, Wyatt Pack was seen berating a Spanish-speaking family at the Cache County campground.

The altercation between Pack and Jose Caballero has sparked outrage from the community. Pack, an employee of Weber County at the time of the incident, was fired from his job.

Deputies say they have contacted multiple witnesses and several other parties involved. Investigators plan to interview Pack and his friends next week.

“Our office is striving to ensure all parties’ sides of the story are collected and presented, along with any additional evidence to our attorneys office,” said Cache County Sheriff’s Office in a statement.

*UPDATE The people in the photo have been identified, police said on Wednesday.

Investigators say there are two people from Pack’s group who have not been identified. Deputies are asking them to contact the Cache County Sheriff’s Office, so deputies can take their statements. Their photos are below.
