Huntsville man to be sentenced for murder in stabbing death of stepdad

WEBER COUNTY, Utah (ABC News) — A Huntsville man is expected to be sentenced Thursday for the 2017 stabbing death of his stepdad. 

According to police, 43-year-old David Erekson attacked his mother and 69-year-old stepfather, Roger Haven, stabbing him to death. Police say when they arrived, attempts to resuscitate Haven were unsuccessful. 

Erekson faces several charges including murder, assault, and obstruction of justice. He is scheduled to be sentenced before a judge Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
