SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – It was family fun day Saturday at Camp Kostopulos in Salt Lake City’s Emigration Canyon.
Camp K, as it’s known, is operated by the Kostopulos Dream Foundation. It’s dedicated to improving the lives of people of all abilities through education, recreation and growth opportunities.
On Saturday, more than 600 people came out for a fun filled day of fishing, face painting, swimming and horseback riding.
There was even a bounce house and a meet and greet with local first responders.
“We’re just so thrilled to be able to provide these amazing services to a beautiful environment for people of abilities of all kinds of different challenges whether it be children, teens or adults for our state of Utah. For this beautiful community that has been supporting Camp K for over 50 years.”
Camp K’s longest running program is “Summer Camp.” Kids, teenagers and adults with disabilities, or special medical needs get to experience a 5-day camping adventure.
