UTAH COUNTY (ABC4 News) – A Utah man arrested last week in connection with a human trafficking investigation now faces more charges.

Richard Michael Martin, 29, was charged with 22 additional 2nd-degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Martin faces a total of 31 felony charges after investigators executed a search warrant on his cell phone after finding several explicit images on the device depicting child pornography, including some as young as one year old.

Utah County Sheriff’s Office said last week Martin believed he was talking to a woman who was the mother of two girls. Martin described wanting to engage in sexual intercourse and oral sex with the 12-year-old and oral sex and digital penetration with the 6-year-old. He also said wanted the 12 and 6-year-old to perform oral sex on him, officials said.

Bail has been updated to $80,000 cash or bond, up from $30,000 last week. The case remains active.
