How you can help during disasters like Brian Head Fire

CEDAR CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) The American Red Cross often responds to help those whose lives are impacted by disasters big and small. 
Red Cross volunteers deploy in response to wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes and other situations. 
The Brian Head Fire burning in southern Utah is currently the largest active wildfire in the United States. 
The Red Cross is using this situation as an opportunity to train more volunteers to respond to situations like this one and to prepare Southern Utah for future disasters. 
The American Red Cross of Southern Utah is offering a Shelter Fundamentals training course.  These are basic level course that introduce the guidelines and procedures for setting up, running and closing a shelter during a disaster. 
The training is free and there is no need to register.

Time 5-9 p.m.
Location: Iron County Visitors Center, 581 North Main Street
Date: Saturday, July 1
Time: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. 
Location: Panguitch High School, 309 East 100 South
