How Utah McDonald’s customers can help sick children and families

Local News

Local McDonald’s restaurants are working to raise money to help families who travel great distances to find treatment for their very sick children.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a place for family members to stay while their children are being treated in local hospitals. Now through Nov. 19th customers who visit McDonald’s in Utah, western Wyoming, or eastern Nevada can support these families by making a small donation. In return, they will be given a  “thank you” coupon for a free small fry or hash brown.

“Last year in Utah we generated over $73,000 to support RMHC of the Intermountain Area at our local McDonald’s restaurants through this fundraiser,” said Carrie Romano, executive director of local charity told ABC4. “Through our two core programs, the Ronald McDonald House® and Ronald McDonald Family Room®, we will serve over 10,000 families locally this year.”
