The 2019 legislative session starts Monday, January 28th at 10 a.m., and with hundreds of bills already on the table, it’s expected to be a hectic 45 days for lawmakers.

Jason Perry, the director of the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah, says Proposition 3, or Medicaid expansion, is going to require a lot of attention. While lawmakers want to respect the voice of the people, who voted to expand Medicaid in November 2018, Perry says funding has become a concern.
