Hill Air Force Base welcomes home 128 airmen and women

HILL AIR FORCE BASE (ABC4 News) One hundred and twenty-eight warriors returned home to Utah Monday after a seven-month deployment where they supported operations that contributed to the defeat of the ISIS caliphate in Syria.

Lt. Col. Jeffrey Digsby, 729th ACS Commander, said: “Our mission is to deploy on short notice to anywhere in the world and provide combatant commanders with persistent 24-7 battle management command and control of joint air operations.”

The 729th ACS provided aircraft control and an air surveillance picture of the local airspace.
