Hiker treated for hypothermia after rescue in Slate Canyon

PROVO, Utah (ABC4 News) A hiker was taken to the hospital after he was rescued from Slate Canyon Thursday night.

Provo Fire and Rescue crews responded after a 19-year-old man became stranded in the canyon.

Crews endured cold and very wet conditions to help the hiker who they located around 9:30 p.m.

Officials say the man was treated hypothermia and taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
