High school students fight hunger in the community

Local News

Students here in Utah are helping to fight hunger. Skyline High School student government officers share more information about the Souper Bowl of Caring campaign.

The Souper Bowl of Caring is a nationwide effort to raise money to fight the hunger epidemic that plagues the United States. In the Granite School District, the Souper Bowl of Caring directly benefits those hungry children in our district and their families, so that they can attend school and learn without suffering from the debilitating effects of hunger.

In the Granite School District alone, about 44,000 students face food insecurity and around 1,100 that are homeless. By donating to the Souper Bowl of Caring, people can directly fund the needs of these students.100% of donations go directly to feeding the hungry in our area.

This year is the third year Skyline has participated.

Skyline’s goal this year is to raise $19,000 worth of food products. To achieve this goal, they need help from the community! If you would like support this cause, click here.
