High school student hit by school bus, transported to hospital

Local News

LEHI, Utah (ABC4 News) – A high school student was transported to the hospital after being hit by a school bus Monday morning.

David Stephenson, admin of public relations for the Alpine School District, said the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. in the bus drop off parking lot at Skyridge High School located at 3000 North Center Street.

Stephenson said it was still a little dark when the student walked in front of the bus and the bus driver just did not see him.

The student was transported to Mountain Point Medical Center in Lehi in stable condition.

“We are just so thankful the student will be okay, we wish the student well,” said Stephenson. “The incident is still under investigation by the Lehi Police and the Safety Department with the Alpine School District.”
