OGDEN, Utah (ABC4 News) Several inches of fresh snow fell Monday morning in northern Utah, just in time for Christmas Eve.
The snow forced Mac McCullough to come in early to clear off the walks outside his business on Washington Boulevard.
“It’s Christmas Eve! This is great.” McCullough said outside Attention To Detail.
The father is thrilled several inches put the finishing touch on holiday decorations. Crews plowed the sidewalks around the city’s Christmas Village.
“It looks like Christmas,” Mccullough said. “I’ve got two-year-old twins. This is perfect. When they wake up this morning, they’re going to look and go, ‘This is awesome.’ They get a sled for Christmas so this is perfect.”
The snowstorm hit Davis, Box Elder, Cache, Summit and Weber Counties in the early-morning hours. Utah Department of Transportation reported more than two-dozen crashes and slide-offs before 10 a.m.
“It’s beautiful,” Bill Wilson said. “It wouldn’t be Christmas without it.”
The storm captured picked up moisture over the Great Salt Lake, dumping lake-effect snow on the Ogden area.
“This is a lot of snow, but it’s Christmas Eve so it’s perfect,” McCullough said.
