SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- It’s officially Fall which means it’s time to pull out those sweaters and soup bowls and head to the spiciest event of the year.
The 32nd annual Great Salt Lake Chili Affair is this Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
Retired Utah Jazz basketball player Thurl Bailey and Alicia Gleed from The Road Home joined us in studio to talk about the event.
This year’s event will, of course, include delicious chili, but there will also be, salads, breads, desserts, live entertainment, a silent auction, and a supervised children’s area.
Come hungry and try out the chili from 17 different chefs from across the valley.
Proceeds from the event go toward helping people overcome homelessness.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $42 per person or $300 for tables of eight. Children 12 and under are free.
They are also looking for volunteers for the event.
