Halloween takes over downtown at Monster Block Party

Local News

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Thousands turned out today at the Gallivan Center for the annual Monster Block Party.

The big draw of the day was the pumpkin drop. Kids and adults got to see the pumpkins get dropped from high above and smash into a pulpy mess on the ground below.

It is a safe way for your kids to dress up and celebrate the holiday.

In addition to the free candy and the pumpkin drop, there was music and a costume contest.

ABC4 handled the arts and crafts botth and we gave out free candy to the more than five thousand people who attended.
