DRAPER, Utah (News4Utah) Rocky Mountain Power, Maverik and electric vehicle owners are celebrating Friday. It’s the grand opening of the Electric Vehicle Corridor!
Several electric vehicle “fast-charging stations” have been built up and down Interstate 15.
This means that EV owners can experience Utah’s iconic ski resorts and national parks without worrying about running out of battery life!
Rocky Mountain Power and UCAIR say they are proud to spearhead the creation of these stations and speed up the transition to a clean transportation future!
“It allows consumers to understand that now buying an electric vehicle is a real option, they don’t have to have charging anxiety… and as we know… electric vehicle infrastructure is a real part of the solution to our air quality needs and our air quality struggles,” said Thom Carter, Executive Director of UCAIR.
These new EV charging stations at Maverick stores in Wellsville, Farr West, Syracuse, Stansbury, Draper, Santaquin, Fillmore, and Washington represent a significant contribution to the clean transportation future of the state.
