Granger Elementary School unveils vending machine for books

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Granger Elementary School in West Valley City unveiled a book vending machine Monday. 

It’s the only vending machine of its kind in Utah and the 4th in the nation.

The machine holds 300 to 400 books when fully stocked, and officials say bookworms can earn and use gold tokens to get a book of their choice.

The machine is a way to encourage kids to find the fun in reading build their home library and experience the joy of owning a book.
