Gov. Herbert spotlights Utah company’s work in education

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Governor Gary Herbert recognized the outstanding financial leadership of one Utah company.

He gave the 2017 Atlus Award to the Garff Automotive Group Wednesday.

“This represents kind of a public-private partnership of people working together and saying we can do things better with education, financial literacy and so many other areas,” said Herbert.

Ken and Nancy Garff founded the “Success in Education Program” to address the state’s lack of computer coding expertise. The program trains high school students to code preparing them for tech jobs.
