SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A Utah man was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor after Google contacted Utah law enforcement with a concern of someone uploading child pornography.

Police said the investigation started back in 2017 when Google reported to the Utah Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that a user had been uploading child pornography.

Agents were able to identify 54-year-old Gustavo Briseno as the user of the account. In April 2018, police were finally able to make contact with Briseno who voluntarily came to the Utah Attorney General’s Office for the interview.

Briseno admitted to detectives he has had a problem with child pornography and “there were approximately 90 videos of child pornography on his phone.”

During a search of Briseno’s phone detectives found several images and videos of child pornography, some victims as young as 10 years old.

Briseno faces 10 second-degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. A search of Briseno’s background does not show a criminal history in Utah.
