SALT LAKE CITY, Utah(News4Utah) The Utah Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is taking a sentimental journey back to the 1940s at the 6th Annual Swing Dance Party. Tim LePage, Commemorative Air Force Member, joined Nicea DeGering, to talk about the fun family event.
The CAF is a worldwide non-profit organization dedicated to restoring, maintaining and flying World War II aircraft for the purpose of honoring veterans and educating the public about the importance of WWII in American history.
Swing Dance lessons will be offered free of charge by DF Dance Studio. You will also have a chance to win a ride on their 1941 open cockpit Stearman bi-plane. Lola’s Street Kitchen will be back providing Mexican food for purchase from 6-8 p.m.
The dance will be held on Saturday, June 9th from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the CAF Aviation Museum at the Russ McDonald Heber City Airport. Proceeds benefit the museum. It costs $25 per couple, $15 per individual person. Veterans and kids are free.
