AMERICAN FORK, Utah (ABC4 News) – Friends and family of missing woman Jerika Binks are gathering to honor her Sunday afternoon.
In a tweet from Sgt. Spencer Cannon of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office he said family and friends of Binks will gather today at 1:30 at Art Dye Park in American Fork to remember her.
Cannon said there were few clues into her disappearance but the effort to find her continues.
Binks disappeared nearly a year ago after going for a run. She was last seen near the Timpanogos Cave trail in Utah County.
In a special report by ABC4’s Marcos Ortiz, authorities said they still consider the disappearance of Binks a missing persons case despite a search warrant that implies foul play.
Suzanne Westring, Jerika’s mother, said they are never giving up in finding her.
“I only pray that someone will please come forward .. to help me bring my daughter home,” said Westring. ” I just want my baby girl home.”
ABC4 will be at the event Sunday night and will bring you more on this story.
