The Salt Lake County Health Department and Intermountain Healthcare are now offering free testing services to Sandy residents affected by the recent water contamination incident.

Sandy residents who live in zones 1, 2, or 3 (pictured below) can call the health department at 385-468-4636 to set an appointment for Saturday, February 23 to get their blood tested.

Appointments are on a first come first serve basis, but if all slots fill up the health department will set a time for testing at a later date.

While the duration of exposure was brief, Intermountain Healthcare and the health department want to provide peace of mind to the residents.

“Water safety is something we all take for granted,” said Mikelle Moore, Intermountain Healthcare senior vice president for Community Health. “Sandy City has made a great effort to restore their systems, and as a community partner we want to help rebuild confidence and peace of mind in their neighborhoods.”
