SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- A former Utah Symphony stage manager was sentenced Thursday for failing to file a state income tax return.

Officials say Jeffrey Kim Sturgis, 50, of Winter Garden, Florida earned over $430,000 during the five years he worked with the symphony.

Sturgis pleaded guilty for failure to render a proper tax return. Originally, he was charged with 11 felonies accusing him of failing to pay state income taxes between 2011 and 2015 while he lived in Utah.

He was ordered to pay $24,371 in restitution.

Sturgis paid $15,500 of that amount and will now undergo 24 months probation, official said.
