SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – If you are traveling through Salt Lake International Airport Wednesday or Thursday, you need to pack your patience. Airport officials expect a record number of travelers during the Utah Education Association break.
With an upwards of 25,000 travelers expected to make their way through Salt Lake International over the next two days, people are being asked to show up two hours ahead of your scheduled departure. Officials say the extra time will allow passengers time to park, check luggage and navigate security. To save additional time, passengers are encouraged to check flight times to ensure their flight is on time and to print or upload boarding passes prior to leaving for the airport.
In addition, SLC Airport officials recommend going to the Transportation Security Administration website to verify which items are permitted in carry-on bags as well as the number of bags allowed per passenger.
