Firework sellers gear up for New Years

Local News

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah) – Expect to hear plenty of Fiz, Bang and Boom tomorrow night as fireworks sales are in full swing today for the New Years holiday.

Fireworks officially went on sale Friday but Utah law says all sales will stop at 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Aerial fireworks are still one of the top selling fireworks this winter after they were legalized earlier this year.

You can officially set off your fireworks starting at 11 a.m. tomorrow but all firework launches must be finished by 1 a.m. on Monday.

Certain parts of the state have special restrictions in place. You can find a link to Unified Fire’s interactive map here.
